Preventing any Fraudulent Activities through Point of Sale System

One of the biggest problems when it comes to most businesses is the lack of employee management because of the lack of a Point of Sale System. There are a lot of problems when it comes to trading and most of the problems involved are often caused by negligence of the staff, the lack of cashier-sales clerk organization and some fraudulent activities caused by the workers. In order to prevent any problems within a company, there are various ways in order to manage employees. One of which is through the use of some machines which would prevent any fraudulent activities for instance, the use of video cameras so that employees would not be tempted to steal from the company. Another way is through the use of the POS or Point of Sale. The Point of Sale System is designed to decrease any fraudulent activities while at the same time improve cashier-sales clerk organization since there would be a decrease in any errors.

Traditional cash registers are designed to list the number of products which are bought by a customer. If there would be any mistakes involved, the cashier would remove the original receipt and then type in the list again. Sometimes, most products are neglected to be listed on the register and the company would often perceive it as an error coming from the cashier. In such a situation, the cashier would be tempted to steal from the company through accessing the cash register and taking in some money. Without a suitable Point of Sale System and an auditor, such fraudulent acts would not be detected for several years. Some sales clerks can even take some products and items from the store. The items which would be stolen by the sales clerk would be listed as sold items since the cash register is not designed to record all the sold items.

In order to reduce any fraudulent activities while at the same time prevent stealing a POS System can be used. The POS or Point of Sale System would not only register all the products sold but a ledger of all the sold items would be sent to a database. The amount gained daily would also be registered on the POS machine so that an auditor and accountant would be able to record it later.
