Going Dutch: Accessible Amsterdam

The city of Amsterdam is certainly a huge international intersection, with countless airlines stopping off in what is the Netherlands largest city.

Taxis are a comfortable option for those accustomed to private motorised transport, but can be expensive, perhaps as much as euro50 depending on the traffic levels. If the roads are busy, the journey into the centre of Amsterdam can take the best part of an hour, though at quieter times this is reduced to well under half an hour.

So there are certainly plenty of options getting from Schiphol Airport into the centre of Amsterdam. And once youre in the city centre, its safe to say that theres plenty to do there.

Despite the fact that Amsterdam is relatively small when compared to many European capital cities, there is definitely an argument to be made that it is the one that presents the most options for visitors.
