The brand IBM is very famous for its products and inventions. Its products have helped mankind in innumerable tasks. And today we are able to do so complex works within minutes just because of the help that these various inventions have provided us. But we are not aware as to what started this revolution. IBM selectric typewriter is one of the inventions by IBM that triggered in easing the access of computers to people. It was the typewriter that bought the genre of these machines to the electronic age. Instead of typebars it used pivotal typeball that was able to rotate and type more accurately and much faster. The best feature was it allowed the writer to change the font while typing. The IBM selectric marked the beginning of desktop publishing. It allowed the typist to press multiple key at the same time without the problem of typing haphazardly.
