Step 1: Find a home base

Pick a location for the wireless router. This location should be free of any potential interference (such as a television or a microwave) and should be in a place that can easily be reached.

Step 2: Power it up

Find the power cord and plug one end into the wall outlet and the other end into the wireless router. Once the power cord is connected on both ends, you should see a power light on the wireless router.
