If you run or manage an electronics shop and you havent ever tried using point of purchase displays or a point of sale display, you may want to consider the benefits of doing so. Here are some ideas and insights into why these can be helpful.
When the average customer walks into an electronics shop, they probably dont know exactly what they are looking for. Some want a mobile phone, others are looking for a laptop, some just need a part for an electronic device, etc. But chances are they dont know exactly what brand or model they are after or how to even know which item will work best for them.
A point of purchase will highlight certain items and products and give customers a starting place when they are looking for that perfect phone or that perfect laptop. You can use these types of displays to showcase products that are on sale or offer, products that are new in the shop, or state of the art technology.
You can really use it to highlight anything that you want. But try to combine the purpose of selling an item with helping your customers find what they need. No one wants to feel hustled or forced into buying something simply because its on sale or the only like that you have left. They want to know this product is exactly what they are looking for even if they didnt know it when they first walked into the shop.
Try to include helpful information near the products. Use printed signs or leaflets to highlight the best features of that products so that customers can see for themselves what comes with that device or item without having to ask. People usually like to window shop or poke around themselves and will come to a sales assistant when they are ready.
