When you're running a business you more than likely realize that communication is key, especially if you are trying to establish a new network. When you're working with a home network setup, more than likely you will not need to concern yourself with options, but there are times when you will want to deal with higher end security settings or even antenna frequencies. Many people make the mistake of believing that the software in the router is what makes all the difference. Yes, there is a distinct difference between a 8,000 router and a 50 router as far as software goes, but the hardware makes a difference as well.

The upside to this of course is that the company will ensure you have the proper setup at all times, which can actually be quite helpful.

In most cases you will be informed as to how many users the router can generally support, though most routers can go a little bit above the recommended. Normally only a few computers will actually connect to the router with a switch controlling the rest of the network, although switches are a different area of discussion. That being said, it would more than likely be in your best interest to ensure that when you are installing a router, make sure you choose one that will meet the needs to have now as well as the needs you might have in the future. This doesn't mean that you need the highest end router, but it does mean that you need to think ahead as much as possible.
