You may also need to fill up the static IP fields which have been issued by your internet service provider. If you are using a wireless router, you also need to change the network name. This is called as SSID.
Now check whether your computer can connect to the Internet properly or not. Open any web browser and open any website like mytechsupportstore(dot)com. If you are connecting wirelessly, make sure the SSID of the computer matches with the router.
