Casual Games Appeared In The Retail Stores

Mood Media Corporation announced today that its retail point of sale division, Somerset Entertainment is launching an innovative casual games offering, complete with interactive displays and content from Big Fish Games. The company's expansion into casual games is part of a strategic initiative to monetize its broad retail footprint with new products and services for its core customers - women aged 30 to 45, a demographic closely aligned with the Big Fish Games audience. To this end, Mood Media has secured a licensing agreement with the leading developer, producer and publisher of casual games, Big Fish Games Inc ("Big Fish Games"). "Today, Mood Media has an unprecedented retail footprint and a well-established competency at developing and selling products relevant to our target demographic of women aged 30 to 45," said Lorne Abony, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mood Media. "We have a tremendous opportunity to leverage our retail network and grow our business by providing a broader array of products and services that enhance women's leisure time. We believe that Mood Media's partnership with Big Fish Games is in line with this strategy, and will be a hit with both our retail clients and their customers." "Our award-winning games appeal to a very broad audience and are an excellent match for Mood Media's widely available interactive displays," said Jeremy Lewis, president and chief executive officer of Big Fish Games. "With this partnership, we will further expand our global audience through placement at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond and Joanne's Fabrics - and Mood Media's customers will discover our games as a source of relaxing, fun, interactive entertainment." Under the terms of the agreement, Mood Media will have access to ten of Big Fish Games' most popular games, including the Mystery Case Files franchise. google_ad_client = "pub-2311940475806896"; /* 300x250, created 1/6/11 */ google_ad_slot = "0098904308"; google_ad_width = 300; google_ad_height = 250; Mystery Case Files is widely known for its role in establishing what has become the casual games industry's most prevalent genre: hidden object games.
